Options Exchanges - Options Exchanges are where the buying and selling of options contracts takes place. Most major stock exchanges perform this function, as do smaller, specialized facilities like the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).

Over-The-Counter (OTC) Trading - Over the Counter Trading in stocks or other financial instruments is conducted directly between two parties without the mediation of a stock exchange. Most OTC trading in the US today is conducted on the OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB).
