Walk the talk. This adage has renewed utility today. Stock brokers and analysts abound, but no one guarantees dividends. Your payout is the only sure part about stock market advice. Even a mutual fund will make you sign away all accountability. You get a share only if the fund manager succeeds in stock picks. Why not do your own stock investing if you have to take the risks?
Stock market life is full of pluses and minuses. A down-side may surface just when you exult at a gain. The trick is to stay above red lines. Why surf the Capital Goods Sector when there is talk of recession? Farm production and rural migration are two opportunities to consider. The Construction and Agricultural Machinery Industry has solutions to both these pressing world issues.
June 2007 was not an ordinary month for Home Depot. Veteran stock market observers have differing versions of what happened. The bare facts are not unusual. A new management team reversed yet another key decision of their predecessors. That happens all the time. You must inform NYSE or wherever you are listed. The rest is your prerogative. Home Depot sold the HD Supply business to private equity in June 2007.
You are not alone. It is normal to be in awe of giants in the Investment Services industry. These corporations pay enormous sums to celebrity alumni of top Business Management schools. Even governments listen to them. They know it all, from the state of the economy downwards. Then there is the sub-prime story. Some of their executives have been naughty. They have left with golden handshakes. The stock market holds its collective breath in the meantime. What further bad news can we expect about undisclosed losses tomorrow?
We are neither crazy nor crooks. We dare to recommend a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) stock for entirely professional and unbiased reasons. The stock market backs investors who stand apart from packs. We cannot ask you to park cash in the wrong sectors. However, a business with the right assets can be a top stock pick.
Our usual disclaimer will not suffice. We never tire of assuring you that our references to stocks are above board. However, we should also warn you that this post about Cairn Energy Plc (LON: CNE) is not a fairy tale.
Inflation, recession, and stagflation, are three most feared words. Weeks have passed since the President and the Fed promoted a stimulus package. It has not worked as yet. The BRIC countries surge ahead in the meantime. Read about one of them at one of our sister sites: “Can New China Sustain its Spot in Economic News?”
